This is a clear grade except for the occasional small pin knot. The colour varies from auburn to mid-brown and darkens with age. |

Classic American Elm

A virtually clear grade, selected for its well figured heartwood. It contains an occasional small knot, a little burr and the odd flash of lighter sapwood. The colour varies from light to dark brown with greens, pinks and purples. |

Character American Elm (100mm/4" wide & 20mm/?" thick)
A more varied floor which contains wide diversity in colour from cream to dark brown as well as greens ands purples. It will normally contain sound knots up to 30mm, unlimited pin knots and burrs and the occasional slight surface shake. A superb country floor. |

A stunning white to cream plank floor which has been selected for its uniform lightness and minimalist appearance. This is a clear grade except for an odd light pin knot, occasional flashes of darker mineral colour which is limited so as not to mar the overall appearance |

Canadian Classic Honey Maple

A lovely light floor with more colour and grain variation than the Ivory. It is white to dark cream with small areas of light amber and occasional larger flashes of mineral colour and the odd pin knot. |

Canadian Classic Smoky Maple
(128mm/5" wide & 20mm/?" thick)
A striking, bold plank floor with colour variation from white to dark brown and all shades between. The name is derived from the swirling brown grain and the dark veins of mineral colour in some of the boards. There may be a few small knots an odd surface shake and character marks. |

Canadian Rustic Maple

Another bold floor but with plenty of rustic features. The colour varies from white to dark brown and typical rustic features are unlimited knots, some of which need filling, some non structural cracks, the occasional small hole and odd machining defects. |

The most rugged of the grades with wide colour variation from cream to dark brown, wild grain, unlimited knots of all sizes & colours and other rustic features. A bold country floor produced in small quantities. |

A beautiful floor with timber selected for its light, uniform colour and attractive figure. The floor may contain occasional small pin knots. The colour is predominantly straw brown with subtle pink hues. (See Note below) |

Appalachian Red Oak Character

An interesting floor with rich colour variation from light red/brown to mid brown, stripes of darker brown and more variation than the Classic grade. Knots, swirling grain & flashes of darker colour are part of the character of the floor. |

Rustic Oak Board
(8" or 7" wide)
The general colour is cream to mid brown. Knots of all sizes and densities are permitted provided they are structurally sound. The boards display all the rustic features of a simple country floor - occasional cracks, the odd hole etc. The open features will require some filling. |

Character Oak Board

The overall colour is light to mid brown with occasional hues of pink, darker brown and flashes of cream. Boards vary from almost clear to those with a light scattering of small knots and burrs and those with the occasional larger light coloured knot. |
